There are several groups organizing Tea Party events. Find one in your area - call your friends, assemble your local Facebook friends, tweet . . . do whatever you have to do. Gather people.

Grab some LP literature, or the World’s Smallest Political Quiz - make sure whatever you take has contact information on it for your local LP affiliate; grab some signs, wear your political (especially LP!) T-shirts, and go have a blast!

USTeaParty.com, TaxDayTeaParty.com, TeaPartyRevolution.com, ReTeaParty.com

Be sure to check out ReTeaParty.com - be aware that Newt Gingrich, creator of the NeoCon movement, may be promoting some of these as partisan events. My suggestion is that you bring your LP stuff, and ride the wave.

Check Ron Paul Meetups in your area; and Facebook groups . . .

Some successful protests . . . in Fullerton, CA;

and in DC . . .

Rules for Protesting

Most important - be friendly, present LP philosophy in a gentle, palatable fashion, without watering down principle (read Mary Ruwart). Always have contact information on LP lit.

Have fun! As Dean Martin is reported to have said “If you’re not having fun, you might as well lay down and let them throw dirt on you.”

Creativity in political media - a powerful, inexpensive tool.

“We weren’t quite sure what would happen when we invited four of the most explosively creative minds in political media to join us for lunch. But it turned out they had more questions for each other than we did. In the private dining room at Charlie Palmer Steak, Editor-in-Chief Christie Findlay and Senior Editor Shane D’Aprile just sat back and watched the sparks fly.

Check out what didn’t make the print edition: Read the full transcript of the conversation.

Julian Mulvey: So, Fred, you made possibly the most famous ad of the year—the Paris Hilton ad. I have to say, when I saw that I thought, “The campaign has lost it, they’ve completely come off the rails.”

Fred Davis: Had you been there, you would have known that we didn’t have any other choice. Obama is in Europe. He’s getting crowds of 200,000 people. We’re sitting around depressed and trying to figure out what in the world do you do to turn that against him. I happen to think Obama has turned out to be a pretty substantive guy. But at the time he was always with Oprah, doing things that were big and glitzy. It was a long ball and it could have just as easily gone the other way, but if it had we wouldn’t have been in any worse shape.”

And getting creative can’t hurt us . . . we’re not talking about whacko ideas, just creative ideas for presentation.

Mike Gravel did it. Travis Wright and Bruce Guthrie did it here, here and here.

“Again and again, it appears that the winners in business are those who focus on the customer’s needs first, and then fulfill those needs as if their life depended on it. It follows that if you want your business to succeed, you must do the same”

And if you want your political party to succeed, you must do the same . . .

“This means listening to your customers every chance you get. Unfortunately, unless asked, most customers will never give you the chance to listen. It’s just too much trouble for them. . . . Your challenge then is to make it as easy as possible for your customers to give you the vital information you need to keep your business on the right track.”

The rest of Larry Johnson’s brilliant article is here.

So, here is where I want to hear your feedback. Please try to keep it succinct, leave out the old battles, just give us the facts, and offer suggestions.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!

We believe that there are libertarians out there who don’t know that they are libertarians, and we intend to find them.

And we believe that educating, persuading and organizing are the tools to achieve more Liberty.
